Dr. Maddie Clancy, DNP, APRN, CPNP‑PC, is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Board‑Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a heart for whole‑child care and a deep commitment to walking alongside families through every season of their child’s health.
Maddie’s journey to pediatric integrative care began when her youngest sister was diagnosed with childhood leukemia, an experience that taught her the power of presence, truly seeing families in their most vulnerable moments, and celebrating every win along the way. Her faith informs her approach to whole‑child wellness, guiding her to blend thoughtful medicine with compassion and intention. To Maddie, whole‑child care means slowing down, listening deeply, looking beyond symptoms, and partnering closely with parents as their child’s greatest advocate.
A double Baylor graduate, Maddie earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Baylor University’s Louise Herrington School of Nursing. While completing her DNP at Baylor, Maddie was mentored by Dr. Brooke Barr, whose intentionality, wisdom, and encouragement influenced Maddie’s approach to care and further fueled her passion for whole‑child wellness, integrative care, and faith‑centered practice.
As a nurse, Maddie spent over seven years at Children’s Health, beginning her career in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Dallas before transitioning to Perianesthesia in the Surgery Department at the Plano campus. Walking with families through some of their hardest days has profoundly shaped the clinician she is today.
Maddie was born in New Orleans, but has lived in Texas for most of her life. She was raised in Austin, and moved to Dallas to attend nursing school, where she later met her husband, Ryan, and built the life they now cherish. Maddie and Ryan live in Frisco with their three children, their daughter Mary Katherine and twin boys Preston and Harrison, along with their bernedoodle, Stella. Their hands and hearts are full, and raising their children has been the greatest joy of their lives. Maddie and Ryan are deeply grateful for the gift of parenthood and the way the Lord has entrusted these little lives to their care. Their family attends Preston Trail Community Church and loves spending time outdoors, gathering with friends and family, and trying new recipes together.
For Maddie, Purely Pediatric Wellness represents the opportunity to serve families with intention, compassion, and a commitment to truly knowing each child. She is grateful to be a part of a team that values connection, curiosity, and the belief that every child deserves care that sees the full picture of who they are.
When a family entrusts Maddie with their child’s care, she sees it as both a sacred responsibility and one of the greatest privileges of her life. She never takes lightly the opportunity to support parents, celebrate children, and walk with families through both ordinary days and challenging ones. Maddie approaches each encounter with compassion, humility, and the belief that God equips her to serve families with gentleness, wisdom, and unwavering care.
